Employment Visa (known as Employment as Professional Visa) under the GEP (General Employment Policy), this visa is for individuals who wish to enter Hong Kong to be employed as Professional by local organization.

Any individual that wish to apply for this visa would be judged based on the following:

  1. The applicant does not have any criminal record nor is there any security objection
  2. The applicant has a education (usually a degree), technical qualification (considered in special circumstance) and proven skills and relevant experiences.
  3. There is a genuine vacancy.
  4. The applicant has a confirmed offer from a local company and is employed according to his/her education level and experience which cannot be taken up by locals.
  5. The remuneration package is according to the market level.
The visa granted initially for 2 years and is renewed in a pattern of 2-3-3 if conditions are met.
